Louis Vuitton: Paris fashion house since 1854

What kind of brand is Louis Vuitton?

Louis Vuitton is a fashion house founded in Paris in 1854 by Louis Vuitton, who began by making travel trunks. W 1896, the company introduced its distinctive Monogram canvas. W March 2018, Virgil Abloh, founder of the brand Off-White, became the artistic director of the menswear line. Abloh died on November 28, 2021, and both models in this collection stem from his work for Louis Vuitton.

LV Trainer and Louis Vuitton Air Force 1 in the collection

LV Trainer x Takashi Murakami: LV Trainer in Black and White versions from the re-edition of the Louis Vuitton x Murakami collection. Virgil Abloh designed the LV Trainer for the Spring-Summer 2019 collection. According to Louis Vuitton, the re-edition version features a grained calfskin upper with a multicolored Monogram print, the Louis Vuitton signature in cursive, the number 54 on the back as a reference to the fashion house's founding year, and a rubber outsole with a Monogram Flowers motif. The model is made in Italy.

Louis Vuitton's collaboration with Takashi Murakami began in 2003: Murakami then created a line of bags and accessories with Marc Jacobs using Monogram Multicolore canvas. According to Sneaker Freaker, both LV Trainer re-edition versions were announced for 2025.

Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 by Virgil Abloh: Air Force 1 Low in White Green, White Royal, and Metallic Gold. Louis Vuitton says Abloh created this model for the Spring-Summer 2022 collection, presented in June 2021, and that the shoes were made at Louis Vuitton's own workshop in Fiesso d'Artico, Italy. For the show, Abloh designed 47 pairs. In late January and early February 2022, Sotheby's auctioned 200 pairs, with proceeds going to The Virgil Abloh “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund. W In July 2022, Louis Vuitton released the model for online sale in nine versions. Find other versions of the Nike classic in the collection Air Force 1.

Louis Vuitton Fit and Sizing

For the LV Trainer from the Louis Vuitton x Murakami collection, the brand states explicitly that the model runs large and recommends choosing a size one size smaller than the one you usually wear.

According to Louis Vuitton, the Air Force 1 by Virgil Abloh uses Nike sizing (US men's sizes). For the basic Air Force 1, Nike says the model usually runs large because of its roomy toe box and recommends going half a size down from your usual Nike size. People with wide feet can stick with their usual size, according to Nike. Nike also notes that editions with a different upper material or midsole may fit differently, so check the size chart on the product page, and if in doubt, contact us.
